Josh Vang

Grants Management Associate Joshua Vang provides operational and administrative support for grant processing throughout the Foundation’s grantmaking. This support extends from assisting program officers and grantee partners at every stage of the grant lifecycle.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Josh was the impact partnership manager at U.S. Scholar, leading corporate giving strategies. He also played a key role at the Minnesota Council on Foundations, where he supported the administration of the Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund, helping facilitate more than $11 million in grants to aid nonprofits and small businesses. With more than a decade of experience working in the nonprofit sector, Josh’s experiences allow him to align organizational values, grantmaking principles and operational practices.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership from Crown College.

Why are you working at ECMC Foundation and committed to working toward improving higher education for underserved learners?

I am committed to improving higher education for underserved learners because, as a child of refugee parents, I have experienced both the barriers that underserved learners face, and the transformative power higher education success hold to change an individual’s socioeconomic trajectory.
