Jay Bozman

Senior Associate for Education Innovation Ventures Jay Bozman supports ECMC Foundation with his experience in higher education strategy and impact investing.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Jay worked as an impact investor at WGU Labs, where he was responsible for sourcing and conducting due diligence on pre-seed and seed-stage startups in the EdTech and future of work sectors. A few of the startup companies he worked with include Julius Education, Savi, Doowii and Genius Academy. Throughout his career, Jay helped institutions, including EAB, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, implement data-driven strategies to enhance student success and institutional growth. His expertise in higher education operations, workforce alignment and investment strategy drives his mission to create meaningful change in postsecondary education.

Jay holds a Master of Business Administration from Salisbury University, a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science from High Point University.

I chose to come to ECMC Foundation to positively impact underserved learners by investing in mission-aligned startups, nonprofits and impact funds. Higher education changed my life, and this work allows me to contribute to improving the ecosystem for current and future learners.
