Brandon Jones

Office Administrator Brandon Jones oversees the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. offices in addition to supporting ECMC Group colleagues in coordinating with Foundation employees at the Minneapolis office.

Prior to joining ECMC Foundation, Brandon worked as a facilities and office services coordinator at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Brandon started his career in operations as general manager at Think Coffee and followed by working as an office coordinator within the tech and crypto sectors. With more than five years in office administration, Brandon specializes in creative thinking, streamlining operations and enhancing team engagement.

While serving as a senior workplace experience coordinator, Brandon was pivotal in his previous company’s recognition on Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces list for 2023.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Christopher Newport University.

Why are you working at ECMC Foundation and committed to working towards improving higher education for underserved learners?

I come from a family of educators and activists who have influenced my passion for continuing their work. My nana dedicated more than 30 years to teaching high school French and English, while my papa was involved in ministerial outreach to underserved youth in the prison system. Additionally, my aunt, Barbara Johns, led a student strike at age 16 for equal education, contributing to the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case. Despite the ongoing challenges students face, I am committed to helping create more opportunities for future generations.
